Steve’s Bio

"Steve"
Steve’s love of music began as a disc Jockey in Montpelier Vermont for junior high dances in the mid 1960’s with a single turntable and a handful of records! Since then he has worked at numerous radio stations in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont.
Steve accepted an on the air position at WKBK Keene in August 1980, and then moved into a sales position at that same station while operating a mobile Disc Jockey business for Weddings and other events!
He has always had a love of oldies, since this is the music he grew up with during his high school years. After High School he continued his education at Grahm Jr. College in Boston where he majored in Broadcasting and later at the University of Maine.
When the opportunity came up to host his own oldies show on WKNH 91.3, the Keene State College station he seized the opportunity. Since WKNH streams on the internet he has received feedback from all over the Country! The show initially began with mostly familiar oldies from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s, but at the suggestion of Sam Ward, the audioldies webmaster, in Toronto Canada the show was expanded to include rare tracks and “B” sides of records not normally played on commercial radio stations. In May 2015, Steve Relocated to Tennessee, and the show is currently being produced from his new home. You’ll discover plenty of familiar oldies from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s on the show but it’s the rare cuts that makes the show different!
